"Education is what makes the difference in the life of nations. We
can't fight poverty without giving priority of learning and spread
knowledge. That's why Dosti Foundation has started over 200 schools
and other learning facilities to educate the masses in Pakistan. Our
mission is; education for all and without discrimination."
This has been said by Mr. Aijaz Ahmad, Vice President of Dosti
Foundation, while talking to students at one of the Dosti's Foundation
school at Sufaid Dehri, Peshawar.
The US based vice president is on Pakistan visit from May 15th.
On his arrival to Dosti School, children welcome him by clapping. Mrs.
Tahira and other staff members of the school were also present on the
occasion.
Talking to newsmen, Mr. Aijaz gives brief about the Dosti Foundation
activities. He said President of Pakistan, General Pervaiz Musharraf, acknowledged the Dosti's Foundation role and we will keep spreading
our schools network in other parts of the country soon.
In a reply to question, he said that "Dosti Foundation is going to
start new schools in Afghanistan and sooner that project will be
launched too."
He also appealed to the parents to send their children for education
and take interest in edification of their children at home.
Later in a board meeting, Mr. Aijaz Ahmed has been declared as a board
member of "Dosti Welfare Organization" which also involve in health
and education sectors.
